But if you don't place the sticker they'll still read your plates, and they might even fail to read your plates once or twice, resulting in a free toll. They prefer that you properly mount the sticker because it reduces the possibility that the transaction will be unbillable. If the sticker isn't read, the cameras photograph your license plate and the system recognizes it as a tag account and charge your account. You can throw it in a fire in your back yard and it'll still work. You can put the sticker on the dashboard and it'll work fine.
